In addition to new business of professionaly written personals ads, I've also noticed an increasing number of people are turning to professional background services such as mine or probably others (such as checkmate1.com) not just for 'safety' checks into criminal records, but instead to gather additional personal information on people to evaluate which one of them to date! I once had a person drop a list of 20 names on me, just because he couldn't decide which one he 'wanted to date first' and wanted a little reliable info to help him out. Before sympathizing with the women, you should keep in mind many of them are doing the same thing!
The online dating scene really is starting to boom.
Cheers to the good matches!

I'm 47 and the last year has been the best year of my life. It started off slowly. I got laid off from my job of 13 years but I got a great new job and have met some amazing women through Match.com and Yahoo Personals. Disaster and success stories will abound. Looking for your contributions too.
