Back from Vegas

I scheduled a trip to Las Vegas for a little rest and relaxation.

but fate had other plans for me.

I had a great little hike at Red Rock Canyon which ended with a quick slip and fall which broke my leg in two places.  Fortunately, I was helped out by some very nice hikers (Thank you, Judith!) and we soon found help.

I obtained the able assistance of the Blue Diamond Volunteer Fire Department and ended up at the University Medical Center in Las Vegas for surgery to put my tibia back together. The Paris' staff was terrific while I was waiting for surgery.  It's a great place to be if you have a broken leg.  A little room service helped and they gave me this terrific scooter to help me get around.

After the surgery, I got to celebrate Thanksgiving with my cousin Ted, his girlfriend Sunny and her daughter,Lisa,  who fortunately for me, live right in Las Vegas. I owe them a lot for all their help.

I have made it back home from another Adventure in Matchland. It was a great week.
